2- It was all right...

2- Where ever the red lights took me.
1- Hahah, yeah seems like that's how you have to run here.
2- Yeah, I really want to make it down to the water sometime, it is really pretty and peaceful there.
1- Hmm, yeah I was running up church street the other day, it was really gay.

I am wearing sunglasses, so these girls can't see how I am staring at them dumbfounded... I am thinking to myself. Your run up church street was gay? It was gay? I start to processes the irony and idiocy in that comment. If you don't know Church St. in Toronto is the gay village, so the mere fact of this girl calling her run through there is pretty ironic. Now I start to think, she wasn't joking about what she said. It was not where she was running that was so gay it was the run itself, she is complaining about the run because she hit read lights and there was a lot of traffic on the streets. This got me to thinking, can a run be gay? I love to run, so does that make my runs straight or gay? So I looked the word gay up on dictionary.com, this is what I found;

Oh, okay so she meant to say her run was full of light-hearted excitement or it was bright and lovely. No, no her run was not happy I reminded myself. She was complaining about the amount of people on the streets and the traffic lights not being in her favour. Okay so I read more about gay and found there are 3 cities named gay;

I got it, she was referring to the towns, like Church St. was so gay, or Church St. is so much like Gay the city. That is always a possibility. However something inside me says it is not.
Therefore she is using the word gay as slang, but she did say the run was so gay, meaning it is not gay anymore. So when did this run turn homosexual, and when did it turn straight again? I would really like to know how that works. I have concluded as it was this girls run that turned gay, it was her fault for making it gay, so blame it on her. Also she must have convinced this run later that is wasn't gay anymore, because it is straight now. This girl seems to be really screwing up her run, making it change it's mind all the time. I don't think this girl should be able to have any more runs, she should have to leave them alone and stop confusing them.

OR

I have a better idea my friend from the elevator, your run was never gay and never will be unless it was a really happy and bright run for you. If it was not that, and you were using the word gay in the derogatory sense, then you should stop, find a better word next time. Like my run sucked, or my run was horrible. I don't go around saying, God that class was really straight.
